Stephen Nesis is a Managing Director of Evolution Markets. A co-founder of Evolution Markets, Mr. Nesis leads the company's energy commodity brokerage operations, including its natural gas, coal, biofuels, and nuclear fuels desks. He also serves as a member of the Evolution Markets' Board of Directors and Executive Management Team, providing strategic direction for the firm and assisting in corporate governance.

An experienced broker in emerging international commodity markets, Mr. Nesis has grown Evolution Markets' into one of the leading OTC brokerage groups in US energy commodity trading markets. He not only manages but also sits on Evolution Markets Coal Services desk, which is the largest physical OTC coal brokerage in the world. He specializes in structuring detailed coal transactions for utilities, producers, energy marketers, and financial institutions.

Mr. Nesis previously managed the OTC Coal Desk of Natsource LLC. He was also a founding partner and manager of London based Intercontinental Energy Brokers LTD. (IEB) from 1996 to 1999, where he concentrated on the emerging natural gas and power markets in Europe. IEB was later acquired by ICAP.

From 1993 to 1996, Mr. Nesis worked with Gerald Energy, initially on the NYMEX trading floor to broker natural gas futures and options and later with the Canadian natural gas risk management team, brokering physical and financial products. Mr. Nesis is a member of the Lexington Coal Exchange and CTA (Coal Trade Association). Mr. Nesis graduated from Syracuse University in 1993.
