CPUC takes back earlier decision on TRECs
The California Public Utility Commission (CPUC) took back its earlier decision on limiting electric utilities' use of TRECs to meet renewable energy targets.

The California Public Utility Commission (CPUC) voted to stay the tradable renewable energy credits (TREC) decision, the same commission that unanimously passed the March 11, 2010 TREC program.

A revision of the stay was distributed late Wednesday, May 5, 2010 to include a moratorium on any "TREC-only" contracting, as defined in the decision.
